Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and n4n ("we", "us") covering your use of n4n.io, the n4n AI gateway at n4n.ai, and related n4n services. By creating an account or sending a request to the API you accept them.

1. The service

n4n AI is a gateway: it accepts OpenAI-compatible API requests, routes them to third-party model providers, streams back the response and meters your usage. We do not create the models, and model output is generated by the upstream provider — not by us.

2. Accounts and keys

• You sign in with a Google account and must provide accurate information.
• API keys belong to your account. Keep them secret; anything done with your keys counts as done by you, including the spend.
• You can disable or delete keys at any time in the console. Tell us promptly at support@n4n.io if you believe a key is compromised.

3. Credits and billing

• The service is prepaid. You top up credits with PayPal or cryptocurrency, and each request is charged against your balance based on tokens used and the per-token price of the model at the time of the request.
• Model prices can change as upstream providers change theirs; the current price list is always in the model catalog.
• Requests are rejected when your balance reaches zero.
• Credits are not withdrawable and, except where the law requires otherwise, top-ups are non-refundable. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund your remaining balance.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• break the law, or generate content that is illegal where you or its audience are located;
• violate the usage policies of the upstream model providers your requests are routed to;
• probe, overload or disrupt the service, or attempt to access other customers' data;
• resell raw access to the API in a way that hides the end user from us while evading these terms.

We may throttle, suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

5. Availability

We aim for high availability and route around degraded providers automatically, but the service is provided as is, without an uptime guarantee. Upstream providers can fail, change or withdraw models at any time.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to the prompts you send and, to the extent we hold any, we assign to you our rights in the model output returned to you. You are responsible for how you use that output — including checking it before relying on it. Model output can be wrong.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data; and our total liability for any claim arising from the service is capped at the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the service for breach of these terms, for legal reasons, or with 30 days' notice for any reason. Sections 3, 6, 7 and 9 survive termination.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will give at least 14 days' notice by email or in the console. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
