ABOUT
Software sprawl is a tax.
Every tool a business adds brings another login, another invoice, another export. n4n exists to end that arithmetic — one account, one balance, and a fleet of 30 apps built to hand work to each other.
THE BELIEF
A small team should not need twelve vendors.
Somewhere between the CRM, the books, the helpdesk and the mail, running the software became its own job. Each vendor is reasonable on its own. Together they are a tax — paid in passwords, seats, CSV exports and the glue code holding it all together.
We think the fix is structural, not another integration. Build the apps as one fleet from the start — same account, same balance, same parts — and the tax disappears along with the seams it was collected at.
The sprawl way
- a login per vendor
- an invoice per vendor
- an export between every pair of tools
- a new interface to learn per tab
The terminal way
- 1 login for the whole fleet
- 1 prepaid balance, metered per use
- 1 design language across every app
- handoffs between apps, not exports
THE TERMINAL IDEA
Run it like a terminal.
A terminal works because everything shares the same infrastructure — one hall, one board, one set of gates. The fleet works the same way: you sign in once, one prepaid balance meters everything you use, and every app is built from the same parts in its own hue.
One record, four gates · no exports between them
A form response becomes a deal. The deal becomes an invoice. The invoice becomes a ledger line. The record moves between gates; it never leaves the building.

HOW WE SHIP
Intelligence departs first.
Every app in the fleet leans on the same model gateway — drafts in Mail, triage in Desk, steps in Flow. So n4n AI shipped first:240+ models behind one OpenAI-compatible endpoint, metered per token, live today.
The rest boards in waves behind it. No invented history, no countdown clocks — the board shows each app's honest status, and when one boards, the people who asked hear first.

PRINCIPLES
Rules we run by.
Four rules, applied to every app that boards. They are the boring kind — which is the point.
